RIP Waka 2016...

It is 4:20 in the AM of this FM day, and Nightflying has bad news for Wakarusa fans. According to their Facebook page, Wakarusa is taking a break for 2016. Citing their ongoing legal battles with former partners Madison Companies and Horsepower Entertainment, Pipeline Productions (Wakarusa's producers) decided to take 2016 off. PIpeline also pulled the plug on sister festivals Thunder on the Mountain and Phases of the Moon earlier this year.

Mulberry Mountain won't be vacant in 2016, however, as the 2016 Highberry Festival will move to the mountain for their seventh annual run on June 30 through July 3.

For more information on the Wakarusa cancellation, visit Waka's Facebook page.
