TC's Midtown Grill

It wasn't too many years ago that the city of Conway actually spent a huge pile of money to prevent Outback Steakhouse, a restaurant-club, from opening in Conway. The business needed to be able to serve alcohol to its customers, and at the time, Conway simply prohibited alcohol nearly across the board with very few exceptions. The VFW and Country Club were those exceptions.

Fast forward to now, not only are there several clubs and eateries that have bars, there are a couple whose main business models are, in fact, BARS.

One of those, TCs Midtown Grill, has become one of the hottest nightclubs in Arkansas. TCs is open every day, with a full libation bar, live bands every weekend, pool tables, shuffleboard, a large wooden dance floor, and a huge array of electronic games, and a large menu for serving lunch and dinner 7 days a week.

There's a concert-quality stage and sound system, along with a custom light show, and even a special rig from the ceiling for musical acrobatics, i.e., flying musicians above the crowds...

(Kids, don't even think of trying this at home...)

Plus, it's an old-fashoned place that is smoker-friendly. Indoors. With your drink. As it should be.

The large concert-stage, professional lightshow, along with the high caliber sound system provides ample access to even the biggest bands. Indeed, each appearance takes the shape of a concert, rather than a mere club gig.

TC's Midtown Grill opened a couple years ago and has taken Conway by storm. An entire entertainment venue, the club concentrates on music every Sunday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

Wednesday is open mic night, hosted by Greg Madden, Sunday is Butterfly Scream, and weekends bring the best regional bands to the stage (or above!).

Bands like Bombay Black, Sloppy KISS, Moonshine Mafia, Hooker Red, ShotGunBillys, Dirty Lindsey, Nerd Eye Blind, Funk Yeah, and some of the best area bands available take the stage.

Thomas Colclasure, a long-time bartender at Little Rock's famous Midtown Billiards, teamed up with Midtown owner Maggie Hinson, and built a very nice party spot in the city.

Add to the mix, the infamous Ty Simms controls the entire performance feed from the permanent control booth.

Overall, TCs Midtown Grill is the real deal any way you look at it.
