Six-year-old Bald Knob resident Carrie Keeney is being honored as "Queen for a Day" as she recently celebrated a year of being cancer free thanks in large part to our friends at St. Jude's.

Headlined by Black Oak Arkansas, the show kicks off at 12 noon with long-time master of ceremonies Gabe doing an acoustical set, followed by local rockers Defiance. Then there will be a chance for anyone to show their talent at around 2:00 p.m. during an "open mic" segment. If you would like to show off your talent, check in at the stage before the show. Big Shane Thornton, Ken Smith, Austin Stewart and Richie Varnell, Justin Bratcher wil open for Black Oak Arkansas.

Also, the Jason Kinney Band will perform. Closing the show is Scott Shipley, a “one man band" who has made over 100 appearances on the Grand Ole Opry and played with both Kid Rock and the late Johnny Cash.

There is also a traditional after-the-show bonfire where performers and campers gather for some additional acoustic offerings and fellowship.

The event is being sponsored by all of the Crain Media radio stations (99.1 fm "the Hawg"; "All the Hits" Z100 fm; KWCK 99.9 "Continuous Country"; 106.5 "Vintage Hits"; 105.7 "The Bull"; and Y107.1 "My Country") Eichhorn Family Dentistry.
